Online forum: Food Waste & Loss

Welcome to our online forum dedicated to handling one of the biggest challenges within the food industry: food waste and loss. We believe that by creating a strong online forum of stakeholders, we can revolutionise the way we treat, administer, and reduce waste in the food sector.

As a member, you will gain knowledge about standards, legislation, tools and best practices regarding food waste and loss. Furthermore, you get an opportunity to network and collaborate across the supply chain.

Help shape the online forum at the start-up meeting, where you get a unique opportunity to give your input on which topics should be addressed at the following two meetings. Participation in the start-up meeting is free and non-binding.

Focus areas

Standards: Identifying current standards, including FSSC 22000, ISO WD 20001 – minimising food waste and loss, the FLW standard, etc. Legislation including the EU Green Deal.

Tools: Tools for measuring food waste and loss as well as tools for systematic identification of food waste and loss.

Setting goals and policies: Facilitating discussions on setting realistic and measurable goals to reduce food waste and loss including definitions.
